Presenter Guidelines

Oral Presentation

An oral presentation is 20 min long, including time for questions. We recommend to prepare slides for a talk of about 15 min. such that there is also time for questions.

For the given size of the auditorium, it is appropriate that you consider a viewing distance of about 15 to 30 meters for your slides; thus use reasonably large fonts and with a slide aspect ratio of 16x9.

Presentations can be projected using a provided PC with PowerPoint and PDF reader installed; you may just copy your file (file name: your last name and session ID; for example Hayet_3.pdf) from your USB key onto this PC.

Presentations can also be from your own laptop but connecting your machine might consume 1-2 minutes of your 20 minutes.

Please introduce yourself to your session chair before your session starts.

Poster Presentation

Prepare a 2-slides presentation in **pdf** format for a short (1 minute) oral presentation as a teaser for your poster. Send this pdf file to psivt2013(at)cimat.mx by 27 October the latest.

Teasers are presented on:

Poster presentations are in the gallery of the Patio of the Ex-Convento Jesuita (close to the Auditorio) on

Provided board space for one poster is 1.22 m wide and 2.20 m high. If you have some particular needs for your poster presentation (e.g. a chair and a table) then please let us know as soon as possible.

Posters can be made with a variety of software (Powerpoint, Latex, ...); see http://colinpurrington.com/tips/academic/posterdesign for poster design tips.
